Recruitment Opportunities in the Punjab Fisheries Department

The Department of Fisheries, Government of Punjab, has announced job opportunities for various positions under the development project “Establishment of Hatchery Facilities for Pangasius and Other High-Value Fish Species (2024-25 to 2026-27).” The appointments will be made on a two-year contract basis under the Project Pay Scale (PPS), extendable based on performance during the gestation period.

Available Positions

1. Junior Clerk (PPS-4)

• Qualifications:
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) – Second Division.
  • Typing speed of 25 words per minute in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Age Limit: 18-25 years.
• Locations: Lahore (1 post), D.G. Khan (1 post).
• Salary: PKR 55,000/month.

2. Electrician (PPS-2)

• Qualifications:
  • Matriculation with Science – Second Division.
  • Electrician Certificate from a recognized institute or board.
• Age Limit: 20-30 years.
• Location: Lahore (1 post).
• Salary: PKR 42,000/month.

3. Fisheries Supervisor (PPS-2)

• Qualifications:
  • F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) – Second Division.
• Age Limit: 18-25 years.
• Locations: Lahore (1 post), D.G. Khan (1 post).
• Salary: PKR 42,000/month.

4. Driver (PPS-2)

• Qualifications:
  • Middle pass with a valid LTV driving license and three years’ experience.
• Age Limit: 20-25 years.
• Locations: Lahore (1 post), D.G. Khan (1 post).
• Salary: PKR 42,000/month.

5. Tubewell Operator (PPS-2)

• Qualifications:
  • Matriculation – Second Division.
  • Three years’ experience in maintaining and operating tubewells or lift pumps (electric/diesel).
• Age Limit: 18-25 years.
• Location: Lahore (1 post).
• Salary: PKR 37,000/month.

6. Beldar/Fishermen cum Beldars (PPS-2)

• Qualifications: Literate.
• Age Limit: 21-35 years.
• Locations: Lahore (9 posts), D.G. Khan (6 posts).
• Salary: PKR 37,000/month.

7. Chowkidar (PPS-2)

• Qualifications: Literate.
• Age Limit: 21-35 years.
• Locations: Lahore (2 posts), D.G. Khan (1 post).
• Salary: PKR 37,000/month.

8. Sweeper (PPS-2)

• Qualifications: Literate, with relevant field experience.
• Age Limit: 18-25 years.
• Location: Lahore (1 post).
• Salary: PKR 37,000/month.

Key Points to Note
