Consultant on Call Positions Available at IRMNCH & NP, Punjab

The Integrated Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child Health & Nutrition Program (IRMNCH & NP), under the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) in Punjab, invites applications for the role of Consultant on Call (LOCUM) at select rural health centers across the province. This initiative aims to provide specialized care in key medical disciplines.

Vacancies and Specialist Days

The program seeks experienced specialists in the following fields, with their respective duties scheduled on specified days:

1. Gynecologists – Monday and Tuesday
2. General Surgeons – Wednesday and Thursday
3. Pediatricians – Tuesday and Thursday
4. Anesthetists – Tuesday and Thursday (Surgery days)

Remuneration

The compensation for selected consultants is competitive:

• Gynecologists and General Surgeons:
  • OPD rate: PKR 12,000 per day
  • Surgery rate: Up to PKR 15,000 per case
• Pediatricians:
  • OPD rate: PKR 12,000 per day
• Anesthetists:
  • Surgery rate: PKR 5,000 per case

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Domicile: Must be a resident of Punjab.
2. Qualifications:
   • FCPS, MS, MD, MCPS, DCH, DA, DGO, or equivalent foreign qualifications registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

• The application deadline for the current cycle is 31st January 2025.
• The hiring process will continue on a monthly basis.

1. Positions are facility-specific and non-transferable.
2. Only online applications will be accepted.
3. Duties are pre-determined and non-negotiable.
4. Submission of fake documents will lead to disqualification.
5. Shortlisting will be based on the information provided on the portal.
6. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for interviews via official communication channels (phone/SMS/email).
7. Selected candidates must provide original documents at the time of the interview.
8. No TA/DA will be provided for interviews.
9. Selected consultants must mark biometric attendance digitally for fee disbursement.
10. The number of positions may change at the department’s discretion.
