Pakistan Railways is offering contractual job opportunities under the Rail Connectivity Project with Gwadar Sea Port, inviting applications from qualified professionals. The hiring will be made on a one-year contract basis, which can be extended twice for one year each upon satisfactory performance or until the completion of the PSDP project, whichever comes earlier. The specific project involves the acquisition of land from Gwadar KM 18.98 to Mastung KM 901 and from Besima Zero Point to Jacobabad KM 587 via Khuzdar.
Eligible candidates may apply for the following positions under the Project Pay Scale (PPS) in accordance with the prescribed government rules.
Available Positions:

Executive Engineer (Civil) – PPS-8:
Requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and PEC registration. Applicants must have 8 years of experience in supervision, execution, and design of civil infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, and buildings. Priority will be given to candidates familiar with MS Project, Primavera, GIS tools, and planning software. -
Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) – PPS-7:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and registration with PEC. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. Preference for those skilled in MS Project, Primavera, and GIS. -
Assistant Accounts Officer – PPS-7:
Applicants must be M.COM or ACCA qualified with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in the public sector, particularly in project accounting, auditing, and budgeting. -
Inspector of Works Grade-II – PPS-6:
Candidates must hold a DAE (Civil) and have at least 8 years of experience. Required skills include preparation of estimates, BOQs, Engineering Drawings, and GIS expertise. Must be able to prepare layout and working drawings. -
Assistant Inspector of Works (AIOW) – PPS-4:
DAE (Civil) holders with a minimum of 5 years experience in civil works are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have expertise in quantity surveys, drawing interpretation, and site inspection. -
Office Superintendent – PPS-6:
A graduate in Public Administration or Computer Science with 4 years of experience in office management. Must be proficient in MS Office and have knowledge of AutoCAD. -
Steno Typist – PPS-6:
Requires a Graduate degree, shorthand speed of 40 words per minute, and typing speed of 40 wpm. Must be computer literate and certified in shorthand and typing. -
Computer Operator – PPS-4:
Requires a Bachelor’s or IT Diploma. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and related software. Must have 3 years of relevant experience. -
UDC (Upper Division Clerk) – PPS-4:
Candidates must have at least F.A/F.Sc with second division and possess strong computer knowledge including MS Word and Excel. Candidates with office work experience will be given preference.

The age limit for most positions is between 18 and 62 years, depending on the role.

Selected candidates may be assigned duties in Gwadar, Turbat, Panjgur, Mastung, Quetta, Besima, Karachi, Jacobabad, or Khuzdar, depending on project needs.

Appointments will be made strictly on a contract basis and will not guarantee future regularization.
