Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Jobs 2026 – P&D Department Muzaffarabad

The Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Planning & Development Department Muzaffarabad, has announced multiple contract-based job opportunities under the development project “Establishment of SDGs and Climate Change Units in P&DD.” These positions are open to eligible permanent residents of AJK, including Jammu & Kashmir refugees settled in Pakistan and refugees of 1989.

Research Analyst (BPS-18) PhD/MPhil with 3–8 years experience in research, data analysis, and policy evaluation
Data Processing Officer (BPS-16) Master’s degree with skills in data management, MS Office, and statistical tools
Climate Change Specialist (BPS-19) PhD/MPhil with 5–10 years experience in climate policy, NDCs, and climate finance
Climate Change Analyst (BPS-18) PhD/MPhil with 3–8 years experience in environmental policy and climate research
Data Processing Officer (BPS-16) Master’s degree with expertise in databases, statistics, and data handling

SDGs Unit Jobs – Eligibility Criteria

SDGs Donor’s Coordinator (BPS-19)

Education Requirements:

  • PhD or MPhil in:
    • Development Studies
    • Economics
    • Statistics
    • Public Policy/Public Administration
    • Sociology
    • International Relations

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years (PhD) or 10 years (MPhil)

Skills:

  • Data entry and database management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SPSS, Stata

Climate Change Unit Jobs – Eligibility Criteria

Climate Change Specialist (BPS-19)

Education:

  • PhD or MPhil in:
    • Environmental Sciences
    • Climate Change
    • Disaster Management
    • Development Studies
    • Biodiversity Conservation

Experience:

  • 5 years (PhD) or 10 years (MPhil)
