Health & Population Department, Government of the Punjab Jobs 2026 Nurses, Therapist And Other Staff

The Health & Population Department, Government of the Punjab has announced new career opportunities at Paraplegic and Rehabilitation Centres across Punjab. These jobs are part of the scheme for Strengthening of Physical Rehabilitation Centres of Punjab and are offered on a special project pay package.

Qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for multiple healthcare positions including Prosthetist & Orthotist, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist, Prosthetist & Orthotist Technician, and Staff Nurse. These vacancies are available at rehabilitation centres located in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

These positions are contract-based under the Recruitment Policy 2022 of the Government of Punjab and are designed to strengthen rehabilitation services for patients requiring specialized medical care.

Project Overview

The Punjab Government is expanding rehabilitation services to improve healthcare facilities for patients suffering from spinal cord injuries, paralysis, and other mobility-related conditions. The project aims to provide advanced rehabilitation support through skilled medical professionals.

Prosthetist & Orthotist (PPS-06)

Qualification

Candidates must have a BS Hons or M.Sc in Orthotics & Prosthetics (16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized university or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Minimum two years of relevant field experience

  • Fresh graduates may also be considered based on technical skills and knowledge

  • Experience in patient-oriented workshops involved in manufacturing prosthetic and orthotic devices will be preferred

Age Limit

Up to 30 years

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of MS Office

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Fluency in English

Physiotherapist (PPS-06)

Qualification

  • B.Sc in Physiotherapy (16 years education) from an HEC recognized university
    OR

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an HEC recognized institution

Experience

  • Two years post qualification practical experience in a health facility recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission

Age Limit

Up to 35 years

Preferred Expertise

  • Neuroplasticity-based rehabilitation techniques

  • Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)

  • Hydrotherapy treatment methods

  • Strong communication skills for patient training and caregiver guidance

Speech Therapist (PPS-06)

Qualification Options

  • MA in Special Education with a one-year postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
    OR

  • BS or BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy or Speech Pathology from an HEC recognized university

Experience

1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Age Limit

Up to 35 years

Required Skills

  • Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)

  • Voice banking for progressive speech disorders

  • Cognitive communication therapy

Prosthetist & Orthotist Technician (PPS-05)

Qualification

Two-year diploma in Orthotics and Prosthetics recognized by the Punjab Medical Faculty.

Experience

Minimum two years of relevant technical experience.

Age Limit

Up to 28 years

Staff Nurse (PPS-05)

Qualification

Candidates must have one of the following:

  • BSc Nursing Generic (4 years) with valid Pakistan Nursing Council registration
    OR

  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with valid Pakistan Nursing Council registration

Preference will be given to graduates from government institutions.

Age Limit

Up to 28 years

Required Skills

  • Wound care management

  • Catheterization procedures

  • Ventilator management where applicable

  • Knowledge of mobility aids and adaptive devices

  • Strong communication and empathy for long-term care patients

  • Jobs are offered on a contract basis under Punjab Recruitment Policy 2022.
