Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026 For Pointsman And Gateman

Pakistan Railways Sukkur Division has announced new contract-based job opportunities for eligible candidates belonging to specific civil districts under its territorial jurisdiction. These vacancies are available in essential and operational categories for a period of two years. Selected candidates must pass a medical examination conducted by the Divisional Medical Officer, Sukkur, and complete prescribed training before appointment.

Age Limit Criteria

The general age limit for applicants is 18 to 25 years with a 5-year general age relaxation.

Additional relaxations include:

• Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation equal to the service rendered in Armed Forces or 15 years (whichever is less).

• Candidates from Sindh Rural, Balochistan, Scheduled Castes, and Buddhist Community: 3 years additional relaxation.

• Government servants and contract employees with 2 years continuous service: 10 years additional relaxation.

• Sons of deceased civil servants who died during service: 5 years additional relaxation.

• Only one category of age relaxation can be claimed if eligible under multiple categories.

• Sibi (Taluka Lahri only)

• Rahim Yar Khan (Taluka Khanpur only)

• Kashmore

• Kamber Shahdadkot (Kamber only)

Recruitment Quota Distribution

Recruitment will be conducted under the following quota system without relaxation in minimum qualification or age:

• Open Merit – 60%

• Son of Railway Employee (in service, retired or deceased) – 20%

• Ex-Servicemen – 10%

• Orphan (other than Railways) – 5%

• Minority – 5%

• Educational certificates (Middle/Matric as applicable)

• CNIC copy

• Domicile certificate

• Character certificate

• Three passport-size photographs

• Relationship certificate (for son of Railway employee quota)

• Verified service certificate or pension papers (if applicable)

• Four postal envelopes with complete address and mobile number

Application Submission Process

Candidates must carefully follow these instructions:

• Attach a Postal Order of Rs. 550 in favor of Divisional Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways, Sukkur.

• No application will be accepted without a postal order.

• Only one application per envelope is allowed.

• Mention phone number, full address, applied category, and quota on the envelope.

• Send application via Registered Post or Courier to:
  Divisional Superintendent, Pakistan Railways, DS Office Near Ayoub Gate, Sukkur.

• Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted.

Selection Procedure

The recruitment process includes:

• Scrutiny of documents

• Running test

• Interview

• Medical examination

• Security clearance

• Mandatory training (if required)

Running Test Details

• Distance: 1 Mile (1.06 km)

• 50 candidates per shift

• Only top 5 candidates in each shift will qualify

• Candidates failing to appear on time will not be entertained
